Acceptance
What is acceptance?
Acceptance is being in the present moment
Acceptance is non-resistance
Acceptance is peace
Acceptance is love
Acceptance is joy
Acceptance is change
Notice what you are not accepting in your life. It could be the dynamics of a relationship, a physical imbalance or illness, or an aspect of yourself that you don’t like.
How do you practice acceptance? You stop wanting things to be different. You know that there is a higher purpose to everything and that whatever is happening is serving you in some way. You don’t have to know what it is; you just stop fighting it. You can take some deep breaths and connect to your body.
For example, Ii you are having difficulty in a relationship, accept it for the moment. As you accept it, you become more at peace and more connected to your body. Feel what you feel even as you accept it. You may feel anger, or sadness, or fear.
As you accept these feelings, the energy will begin to shift and you may have more clarity about what steps you can take to improve the situation. As you change on the inside, everything on the outside changes, even if it is only your perceptions. You can’t change the other person, only yourself.
The same thing applies if you are not happy with the way you look. Accept it, feel your feelings, and let them go. As you become lighter inside, and more peaceful, you may be guided on ways to proceed. You may be guided to a book, a person to help you, a technique that would be helpful, or a recommendation from a friend. Or you may have a new insight or intuition.
Practice acceptance in all areas of your life. Start with one situation and then see how it unfolds.. Notice if you feel lighter, more peaceful and more connected. The more you do it, the easier it will become.
Many blessings to all of you.
